The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
