The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
