Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 47 full of various trees. 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 therein fruits, and palm-trees, and pomegranates -- 68 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord, Majestic, Splendid. 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
