▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. 46 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 49 In the two Gardens flow two springs. 50 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 63 Dark green [in color]. 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In both gardens there will be fruits, palm-trees, and pomegranates 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
