Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In each of the two Gardens are two flowing springs. 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 Therein are two kinds of every fruit. 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 As if they were rubies and coral. 58 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 The greenest of green pastures. 64 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 67 In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 69 Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful. 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - 72 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 77 Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 78

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
