The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 there is no denying its coming 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and serried acacias, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 And water poured out 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
