The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those on the right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
