The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 facing one another. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38
