The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a few from later times. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
