The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and banana trees, 29 And extended shade, 30 And water everflowing. 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 full of love, well-matched 37 for the Companions of the Right 38
