The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On lined couches, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 and amid the extended shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For those on the right. 38
