The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 and banana trees, 29 And shade extended 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And carpets raised. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
