The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
