The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
