The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 and serried acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
