These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 and a large group of those of later times. 40 And the fellows on the left hand; how miserable shall the fellows on the left hand be! 41 mid burning winds and boiling waters 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor agreeable. 44 They were endowed with good things 45 And they persisted in the great violation. 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Proclaim, "Without doubt all - the former and the latter." 49 will be brought together for an appointment on an appointed day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 55 Such will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement. 56 We have created you, why do you not then assent? 57 Have you considered the seed you spill? 58 Create him ye, or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 You have known the first growth; so why will you not remember? 62 Have you considered the seeds you till? 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 And say: "We have fallen into debt; 66 "Nay, but we are deprived!" 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? 70 Have you ever considered the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you that originated its tree, or are We the Originator? 72 We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle. 73 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 74
