A (goodly) number from those of old, 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand! 41 In scorching wind and scalding water 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 which will neither be cool nor soothing. 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.) 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients' 48 Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 and then, verily, O you who have gone astray and called the truth a lie, 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 And shall fill therewith your bellies. 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 drinking it as thirsty camels do.” 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Judgement. 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge? 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Do you make it grow or is it We who make it grow? 64 Did We will, We would make it broken orts, and you would remain bitterly jesting -- 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 nay, we have been robbed!' 67 Have you seen the water which you drink? 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
