A (goodly) number from those of old, 39 And a multitude from the later generations. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 [They will find themselves] in the midst of scorching winds, and burning despair, 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 Indeed they were among favours before this. 45 and would persist in heinous sinning, 46 and they used to say, "What! After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?" 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all the former and the latter.” 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 "Then moreover, verily, you the erring-ones, the deniers (of Resurrection)! 51 you shall eat of a tree called Zakkoum, 52 and fill your bellies with it, 53 And drink over it scalding water, 54 "So you will drink (that) like thirsty camels!" 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have ye seen that which ye emit? 58 Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? 59 We! it is We Who have decreed death unto you all. And We are not to be outrun. 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Have you considered the soil you till? 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment, 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Have ye observed the water which ye drink? 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 Did you consider the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
