▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 right before your very eyes? 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
