۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
