▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a hidden Book 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
