▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 right before your very eyes? 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
