▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
