۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
