Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
