۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 In a book that is protected 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
