۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
