Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
ALL THAT IS in the heavens and on earth extols God's limitless glory: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 1 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward, and He is of everything the Knower. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do. 4 To Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and unto Him all matters are returned. 5 He causes the night to enter into the day and the day to enter into the night. He has knowledge of the thoughts of the innermost of the chests. 6 Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend (in charity) of that which He has made you successors. Whosoever of you believes and spends shall have a mighty wage. 7 What could be your reason for not believing in God, when the Messenger calls on you to have faith in your Lord and He has already made a covenant with you, if indeed you are true believers? 8 It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to His slave (Muhammad SAW) that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful. 9 And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted. 10
