The Column (Al-Suff)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God; He is the All-mighty; the All-wise. 1 O you who believe, wherefore do you say what you do not? 2 It is most hateful in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not. 3 surely, God loves those who fight for His cause in ranks, as if they were a solid cemented structure. 4 Moses said to his people, "Why do you create difficulties for me when you know that I am God's Messenger to you?" When they deviated (from the right path), God led their hearts astray. God does not guide the evil-doing people. 5 And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." 6 And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah and he is invited to Islam, and Allah does not guide the unjust people. 7 They seek to extinguish Allah's light (by blowing) with their mouths, but Allah shall spread His light in all its fullness, howsoever the unbelievers may abhor this. 8 He it is who has sent forth His Apostle with [the task of] spreading guidance and the religion of truth, to the end that He make it prevail over all [false] religion, however hateful this may be to those who ascribe divinity to aught but God. 9
