Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth glorifies God, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the illiterate (Arabs), a Messenger from themselves, to recite to them His verses, to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the Wisdom, though before that they were in clear error, 2 and (He has also) sent him to those others who have not yet joined them. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 3 That is the bounty of God; He gives it to whom He will, and God is of bounty abounding. 4 The likeness of those who were laden with the Taurat and then they bare it not, is as the likeness of the ass bearing tomes. Hapless is the likeness of the people who belie the signs of Allah. And Allah guideth not a wrong doing people. 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O you Jews! If you pretend that you are friends of Allah, to the exclusion of (all) other mankind, then long for death if you are truthful." 6 And they will never wish for it because of the misdeeds their hands have sent ahead; and Allah well knows the unjust. 7 Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did. 8
