Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the illiterate (Arabs), a Messenger from themselves, to recite to them His verses, to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the Wisdom, though before that they were in clear error, 2 Along with others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 3 That is the bounty of Allah; which He giveth unto whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty. 4 The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. 5 Say thou: O ye who are Judaised! if ye imagine that ye are the friends of Allah above mankind, then wish for death if ye be truthful. 6 And they will never invoke it because of what their hands have sent before; and Allah is Cognizant of the unjust. 7 Say: 'Death from which you flee is sure to reach you. Then you shall be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and He will tell you all that you have done' 8
