Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 It is He who has raised up from among the common people a Messenger from among them, to recite His signs to them and to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the Wisdom, though before that they were in manifest error, 2 As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise. 3 This is the bounty of God, He gives whosoever He please. God is master of great bounty. 4 Those who were charged with bearing the Torah, but did not do so are like an ass carrying a load of books. How unfortunate are those who belie the sign of God. God does not guide the wrongdoers. 5 Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful." 6 And they will never wish therefor, because of that which their hands have sent forward. And Allah is the Knower of the wrong-doers. 7 So say, "The death you run away from will certainly meet you, and thereafter you will be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will declare to you what you have done." 8
