Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ ALL THAT IS in the heavens and all that is on earth extols the limitless glory of God, the Sovereign Supreme, the Holy, the Almighty, the Wise! 1 It is He who has raised up from among the common people a Messenger from among them, to recite His signs to them and to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the Wisdom, though before that they were in manifest error, 2 As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise. 3 That is the bounty of God; He gives it to whom He will, and God is of bounty abounding. 4 The likeness of those who were charged with (the law of) the Torah which they did not observe, is that of a donkey who carries a load of books (oblivious of what they contain). How wretched the semblance of the people who deny the words of God! God does not show an unjust people the way. 5 Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!" 6 But they will never long for it because of all that their own hands have sent before, and Allah is Aware of evil-doers. 7 Say: 'Surely death, from which you flee, shall encounter you; then you shall be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and He will tell you that you have been doing.' 8
