Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving One. 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord will be the torment of Hell; and a hapless destination! 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). 14
