He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection. 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up while it shakes? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not strike you with a sandstorm? You will soon know, with the coming of the torment, how serious Our warning was. 17 And verily those before them denied, then (see) the manner of My wrath (with them)! 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Who is he that can be an army unto you and succour you, beside the Compassionate! The infidels are but in delusion. 20 Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion. 21 Can one who walks with his head hanging down be better guided that one who walks with his head upright? 22 Say: 'It is He who has created you and given to you hearing, sight and hearts but little is it that you thank' 23 Say thou: He it is Who hath spread you over the earth, and unto Him ye shall be gathered. 24 They say: “If you are truthful, tell us when will this promise (of the Hereafter) be fulfilled?” 25 Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 26 At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error. 29 Say: 'What think you? If in the morning your water should have vanished into the earth, then who would bring you running water?' 30
