It is He Who subjected the earth for you, therefore tread its paths and eat from Allah’s sustenance; and towards Him is the resurrection. 15 Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? 18 Have they not seen birds above them spreading and closing their wings, with none holding them except the Merciful One? He oversees everything. 19 Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you to help you? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion. 20 Who shall provide for you if He withholds His sustenance? Nay; but they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path? 22 (Muhammad), say, "It is God who has brought you into being and made ears, eyes, and hearts for you, but you give very little thanks". 23 Say: "It is He Who has created you from the earth, and to Him shall you be gathered (in the Hereafter)." 24 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled, if ye say sooth? 25 Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 26 At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 27 Say: "Just think: If God destroys me and those with me, or is benevolent to us, who will then protect the unbelievers from a painful doom?" 28 Say: He is the Beneficent. In Him we believe and in Him we put our trust. And ye will soon know who it is that is in error manifest. 29 Say: 'What think you? If in the morning your water should have vanished into the earth, then who would bring you running water?' 30
