It is He who made the earth subservient to you that you may travel all around it, and eat of things He has provided; and to Him will be your resurrection. 15 Are ye secure that He who is in the heaven will not sink the earth with you and then it should quake? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not strike you with a sandstorm? You will soon know, with the coming of the torment, how serious Our warning was. 17 And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach. 18 Do they not see the birds above them spreading and closing their wings? None save the Merciful sustains them. Surely, He observes all things. 19 Or who is he that will be an army unto you to help you instead of the Beneficent? The disbelievers are in naught but illusion. 20 Is there anyone who will provide you with sustenance if God were to deny you sustenance? In fact, they obstinately persist in their transgression and hatred. 21 Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? 22 Say, "It is He who brought you into being, and made ears and eyes and hearts for you, yet you are seldom grateful." 23 Say thou: He it is Who hath spread you over the earth, and unto Him ye shall be gathered. 24 They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? - If ye are telling the truth. 25 Proclaim, “Surely Allah has its knowledge; and I am only a Herald of plain warning.” 26 But when they will behold it proximating sad will be the countenances of those who disbelieve, and it will be said: this is that which ye have been calling for. 27 Say: 'What do you think, if Allah destroys me and those with me, or has mercy upon us, who then will protect the unbelievers from the painful punishment' 28 Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error." 29 Say, "Have you not thought that if your water was to dry up, who would bring you water from the spring?" 30
