Verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the (submitting) Muslims like the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists and disbelievers, etc.)? 35 What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge? 36 Have you a Scripture that tells you 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask them (O Muhammad) which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or is it that they have partners in worship? So they should bring their appointed partners, if they are truthful. 41 (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, 42 Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not). 43 Therefore, leave Me with he who belied this discourse. We will draw them on little by little from where they do not know. 44 for, behold, though I may give them rein for a while, My subtle scheme is exceedingly firm! 45 Or is it that you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 Were it not for his Lord’s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached. 49 but [as it was,] his Sustainer had elected him and placed him among the righteous. 50 When the unbelievers hear this Exhortation, they look at you as though they would knock you off your feet with their (hostile) glances. They say: “Surely he is afflicted with madness”; 51 Whilst it is no more than reminder for the people of the world. 52
