Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What is the matter with you then, how do you judge? 36 Or have ye a book through which ye learn- 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge? 39 Ask them: “Which of them can guarantee that? 40 Or have they associates if they are truthful. 41 The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able,- 42 Their eyes will be lowered and disgrace will cover them. They had certainly been told to prostrate themselves before God when they were safe and sound. 43 Leave Me (to deal) with those who give the lie to this pronouncement. We shall lead them on by steps from whence they know not. 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 46 Or is the Unseen theirs that they can write (thereof)? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 Had not grace from his Lord reached him, he had surely been cast into the wilderness in a plight. 49 But his Lord had chosen him and He placed him among the righteous. 50 When the unbelievers hear the Reminder, they nearly strike you down with their glances, and say: 'Surely, he is mad' 51 And it is naught but a reminder to the nations. 52
