Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 Shall We treat the Muslims like criminals? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or, have you an oath from Us that stretches to the Day of Resurrection (if so) you shall surely have what you judge! 39 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible. 40 Or have they associates if they are truthful. 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Leave those who reject the Quran to Me and I shall lead them step by step to destruction, without their being aware of it. 44 I shall give them respite, however, My plan is so strong that they will never be able to escape from it. 45 Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt? 46 Or, is the Unseen with them, and they are writing it down! 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate. 49 And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes through hatredness when they hear the Reminder (the Quran), and they say: "Verily, he (Muhammad SAW) is a madman!" 51 although this is nothing but an Exhortation (to goodness) for everyone in the world. 52
