Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 And what is that indubitable event? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash. 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 and the heavens will be rent asunder, 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 In a Garden on high, 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! 24 But as for him whose record shall be placed in his left hand, he will exclaim: "Oh, would that I had never been shown this my record, 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 My power hath gone from me. 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 And string him to a chain seventy cubits long. 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
