Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Do you see any trace of them? 8 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash, 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 its fruits are near. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 and had not known my account. 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 Of no avail to me is all that I have [ever] possessed, 28 There hath perished from me my authority. 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
