But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 And all that ye see not 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein. 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
