Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and by what you do not see, 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It is a Revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 Then cut off his aorta, 46 And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him. 47 But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 It is surely the nemesis of unbelievers. 50 Certainly it is a Truth of absolute certainty. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
