▼ 70 The Heights
Al-Ma'aarej 2 of 2
What ails the unbelievers, running with outstretched necks 36 in crowds, both on the right and on the left? 37 Does every one of them wish to enter the garden of tranquility? 38 Never so. We have created them from what they know. 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). 41 Hence, leave them to indulge in idle talk and play [with words] until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs which they have been promised 42 the Day when they shall come out of their graves in haste, as if they were racing to a goal, 43 Downcast shall be their looks; abjectness shall overspread them. Such is the Day which they are promised. 44
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
