Noah said, "Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children will only bring about destruction for them. 21 and they have hatched a mighty plot, 22 "And they have said: 'You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth, nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr (names of the idols); 23 And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Nuh said: my Lord! leave not upon the earth of the infidels one inhabitant. 26 Surely, if Thou leavest them, they will lead Thy servants astray, and will beget none but unbelieving libertines. 27 My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and forgive all believers, both men and women, and do not increase the wrong-doers in anything except perdition.” 28
