Noah said: 'My Lord, they have rebelled against me and followed he whose wealth and offspring increase him only in loss, 21 "And they have devised a tremendous Plot. 22 "And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';- 23 They have led many astray; so lead the wrongdoers to further error." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 Noah said: “My Lord, do not leave out of these unbelievers even a single dweller on earth, 26 Surely, if You leave them they will mislead Your worshipers and father none but the immoral, and unbelievers. 27 My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction! 28
