28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 guiding towards consciousness of what is right; and so we have come to believe in it. And we shall never ascribe divinity to anyone beside our Sustainer, 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 Certainly the foolish among us say preposterous things of God. 4 'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allah. 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone: 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. 10 For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. 11 ‘And we are certain that we cannot defeat Allah in the earth, nor can we run out of His grasp.’ 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 And that some of us are those who submit, and some of us are the deviators; so whoever submits, these aim at the right way: 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 (Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 "And the places of worship are for Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah; 18 ‘And that when Allah’s bondman stood up to worship Him, the jinns had almost crowded upon him.’” 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
