Say, (O Prophet): “I call on my Lord alone, and I do not associate aught with Him in His Divinity.” 20 Say: 'Surely I possess no power over you, either for hurt or for rectitude.' 21 Say thou: verily none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find beside Him any refuge. 22 "Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever." 23 Till the time when they will see what they are promised – so they will now come to know whose aide is weak, and who is lesser in number. 24 Say: I do not know whether that with which you are threatened be nigh or whether my Lord will appoint for it a term: 25 He knows the unseen and He does not allow anyone to know His secrets except those of His Messengers whom He chooses. 26 Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers 27 "That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing." 28

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
