The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O thou shrouded in thy mantle, 1 Arise, and warn, 2 proclaim the greatness of your Lord, 3 and purify your robes, 4 And all defilement shun! 5 And do not favour others in order to receive more. 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 Then, when the Trumpet is sounded (i.e. its second blowing); 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 and it will not be easy for the unbelievers. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 and children as [love's] witnesses, 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 Not at all! Surely, he has been disobedient to Our verses. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Let him be destroyed. How he calculated! 20 Then looked he, 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 I will surely roast him in the Scorching. 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Above it are nineteen guards. 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire. We have specified their number only as a trial for those who are bent on denying the truth, so that those who were given the Book might gain in certainty, and those who believe might increase in faith -- and so that neither those who have been given the Scripture nor the believers might have any doubts, and that those sick at heart and those who deny the truth might ask, "What does God mean by this parable?" In this way, God lets go astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. And none knows the forces of your Lord but He. This is but a Reminder for man. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
